Was this a polish over a modern clear coat job?

What products did you use with the Porter Cable unit, along with what discs?

The paint job was not the best. The pads had some red residue so there was no clear coat. In fact there were tiny paint bubbles on the hood in spots. I used Prima Car Care Products that came with the polisher. After claybaring I started with the "Cut" polish and a coarse flat pad to even out the bubbles but not the whole car. This was only partially successful but I can live with it. Then the entire vehicle was polished with "Swirl" followed by "Finish" using succesively finer pads and slower orbital speeds. Then a coat of "Amigo" gel/sealent was applied. The last step was applying their "Epic" wax by hand.

I should have taken a before photo because the difference is significant. It's still a "four-footer" but from beyond that distance the car looks better than new. Now I need to deal with the dull chrome. Someone had applied decals to the rear bumpers at one time so there is a two-tone effect.

I can't wait to do the Alfa.
