Really?

Post by sawmkw »

Wow Mark.

I just read the "spill the beans" post and find it quite disconcerting. First of all, you and I have done a fair amount of business over the years with no real issues or problems until just recently and my issue was with one of your headers. It did not fit and I sent it back to you (at my expense) to have it repaired. It took almost a month to get it returned and when I did finally open the "undamaged" box the header contained a rather ugly new weld and the ceramic plating was now scuffed. Yes, you did tell me to send it back again and I assumed it was at my expense as there was no offer for reimbursement for what is effectively the most expensive part that I have purchased for my Spider and I bought it for looks as well as function. Sounds like pretty much the same problem that Brady had and was complaining about.

Now after reading your post it seems you have been harboring some resentments and in airing your laundry I think you are going way beyond the header and shipping problem that was the real issue. It sounds to me like you made decisions to participate in all of the things that you are now complaining about. And now you have disabled Brady's access, hidden his posts, locked your post and effectively silenced any response to your lengthy post? Wow, this looks pretty totalitarian.

So yes, I know Brady and he can be a tough customer but dealing with tough customers is part of the vendor game. What is important is how one responds to it. If you were not the administrator of this forum he would have aired his concerns and that would have been the end of it. I would have expected that your reputation could stand on its own and would not have expected you to stoop to having to rebut in this manner. In fact, putting a vendor in charge of a forum like this one was an invitation for this type of problem...I'm only surprised that it took this long to occur. I don't post much here any more for a variety of reasons but I do read from time to time. I must say that I was sad to see this occur.

So what happens now, do you bar me too? Do you make my post disappear as well?

Brady posted several falsehoods about me in his posts including his assertations that I deliberately damaged his header. I'm quite proud of my products, as you can tell from the pictures I post. To think I would damage one of my items on purpose and send it out is just ludicrous. Bradys' account was deactivated until I can be assured he will act within the guidelines of the site. The members that posted profanities or other unfounded accusations were deleted.
I understand that some people could interprete my post as harboring resentment towards Brady. That's not the case. I had vowed not to deal with him anymore long before the header issue since I felt he was taking advantage of my good nature. That's why I didn't realize he was trashing me in his posts, I hadn't read his posts in a long while.
The most disappointing aspect of the whole affair to me is that he started this thread while we were trying to come to a solution. He now wants a total refund and not return the header. Double dipping again in my book.

Wow, now it all comes to light.
I guess he didn't think another person with header issues would show up.
Looks like Mark should read Brady's posts again. He keeps saying Brady has blamed him for denting his header and sending it to him. I don't see that mentioned anywhere. I wonder how much is really true here?

Damini - I thought you said you weren't going to comment on this issue any more. I guess you are still in kindergarten.

I only posted because Brady requested it. These issues started years ago and I've never mentioned it nor posted about it. I continued to be supportive of him despite the cost to me.
If an item is damaged in shipping, there is a procedure to deal with it. The other header you allude to had the coating scuffed in shipping and the customer was offered a free re-plating.

Your a vendor that sells products! Don't whine after the fact that you sold something. You sell your products at the price you specify. I bet you didn't mind taking customers money. The only question is,
Did you stand behind your product yet?

The real question here, Damini, is why you seem to want to continue to push this thing? Brady is a big boy - he can fight his own battles. If you don't feel you want to buy stuff from Mark, don't. The rest of us can, and will no doubt, make up our own minds. If you don't like what you find on this Forum - by all means find another one.

Damini. Been here for 11 days, and feels the need to jump into a volatile issue between long term board members. Out of his/her 18 posts, 7 of them have been ion threads about this debate.

Me thinks something is suspicious here.
