I hope I'm wrong but I'm afraid Fiat will price them selves out of a market. The regular cars are not selling due to what I feel is too high of a price and lack of power. 100 horsepower? Really?? Not even a low level turbo option like the Chevy Sonic? From the land of Lambos & Ferraris this is the best Fiat can do?

Sergio blames the poor sales due to the lack of dealers but the existing dealers have plenty of cars, the cars are just not selling. The cars really should be priced lower for what they are.

You're right, Ralph. I've noticed the car prices inching up to $22k. You can buy a lot of car for that kind of money.

On the price you have to compare apples to apples. The Toyota Yaris and Honda Fit are cheaper, but the Fiat comes standard with a lot of things that are options on those.
I think the biggest drawback to the 500 is its size. If it was the size of the above two cars (ie just a bit longer) it would be WAAAAAY more practical. It would have more usable rear seats and a bit larger trunk. But then it wouldn't be a 500...

Still a 100 horsepower car based on lowly Fiat Panda Chassis built at two factories where Fiat received a lot of Government assistance. Fiat has to and needs to do better.

Hot damn! Dump those pathetic and probably hugely costly J Lo commercials and put these babies on the tube.. Those insipid initial sales would spike big time. She is soooooooo hot. MAMMA MIA!!!

I'm not sure, but I found one source that listed the Esseesse for what converts to just over 25,000. I'm guessing this will be about what US will sell the Abarth for. I wouldn't expect to see a model above and beyond the regular abarth unless everybody in the US buys one and the Sport sales fall to zero.

The Abarth in OZ is $39k

And that's with the OZ dollar on par with the greenback!
