124 Spider Oil Pressure Gauge Sender

My mechanic says I need one. One supplier has this unit for $45.00 and another has one listed at $98.00. Is one better than the other? I'm one who believes the adage: "Why spoil the ship for a ha-peth of tar" so if the latter is better then so be it.

I've always paid between 35 to 45 bucks for these, so I don't know why one would be at 98.00. I think the last one I got was from Auto-Ricambi for around 35...

CHECK THE CATALOGUES FOR PRICES IF IT IS JUST A SENDER FOR THE DASH GAUGE.
I BOUGHT A PRESSURE GAUGE FROM A JOBBER STORE HERE FOR ABOUT $40.00 IF THAT, THAT PLUMBED INTO THE OIL FILTER HOUSING AND HAS AN OIL LINE TO A GAUGE IN THE CAR. SHOWS THE ACTUAL PRESSURE THAT IS FLOWING THROUGH THAT PART OF THE FILTER/ENGINE. IT CAME WITH ALL THE HARDWARE/FITTINGS REQUIRED AND AS A BONUS.. TO DATE IT DOES NOT LEAK

MOUNTED IT JUST UNDER THE DASH LEFT SIDE OF THE STEERING COLUM.

They are pretty much all the same. I replaced these on a lot of Spiders, but I never had a replacement fail.
