Maybe we can have a periodic photo contest for that spot - thoughts? A quote from Evan's post concerning the upgrades to the board.....

My thoughts would be that this is a forum of Fiat Lovers, and especially Fiat Spider lovers. The vast majority of those who visit and post here own at least one Spider, and have already shared their favorite pictures of their favorite cars. We are generally not a shy bunch, and are proud to show off our cars once....we are proud but don't do too much boasting like other types of car owners i know.

now i am gonna show just how little i know about the maintenance work required behind each and every change to the board.....I suggest two things:
1. alternate the banner among the photos submitted by the regular posters on a daily or weekly basis. the banner is therefore has a refreshed look at least weekly.
2. since the forum serves us best when we actually post (rather than just reading what others have posted), reward frequent posters with their own spot in the limelight, by featuring their car in the banner. The highest count of posts in january gets the spotlight for february. the highest post count in february gets his/her picture posted for march, etcetera. once you have had your car featured, you are ineligible for 6 months.

That's not a bad idea and I wouldn't mind pitching in and doing some work on the header every now and then. Monthly might be a challenge - quarterly would be a little easier to manage. I'm open to it though.

I'm working on some new ideas for the site, don't want to share yet until I'm sure I can implement so I'll leave everyone in suspense
