We got our first snow last night 4", I guess the Spider is done for the year.
I did have her out yesterday so I got in every day i could.
I just got a battery charger/maintainer for my birthday so hook it up, plug it in & throw on the cover, tank already full.
Rest of the fluids full & antifreeze up to snuff. Am I missing anything else I should be doing to prep for the winter????
This little Diehard battery charger is cool, it will just maintain a peak charge & not over charge or it will do regular charging, only at 2 amps but what the hey, it also has an attachment that just plugs into the cigarette lighter & charges from there.
Now the question is just how much I will get done over the winter? already have the 4-2-1 exhaust to install & will be getting all new belts & hoses & ignition stuff soon & maybe a 32/36 dfev before winters over.
Guess we'll see what kind of winter it is. My garage isn't insulated under the roof & I only have a propane heater to heat it up, it works good but goes thru the gas.
Winters are different every year up here, last year started in october & ended in march w/ some snow the whole time.
The year before I bet we didn't get 6" the whole winter.
The year before that we got 36" in two days & continued strong the whole winter, that one was WORK!
Hoping for a mild, relatively low snow winter w/ an early spring.
Heres a pic of my truck after the first round on that big winter. All you can see is the back of the canopy.

this is pretty early in the year for 4", Don. Don't envy you working on your spider when its that cold. I was out sanding on the spider tonight. temps in the 70s. Were supposed to get rain on sunday, which probably means you are in for another round of snow. UGH!
