Blast from the past!

Post by fiatS2000 »

I found and old autotrader in the back of a fiat at the junk yard 5 or 6 years ago and ripped out the italian section and kept the pages. I thought you guys might like seeing these. The autotrader was circa 1985.

I'd love to have one of those 131/Bravas. Had a 1977 131 and a 1980 Brava. Drove both of those cars for years. The 131 had a killer 1800 in it, but I kept the 1980 bone stock. My son used the Brava in high school (1987-1991). Sold the 131 in 1986 becuase of an overseas assignment, and the Brava in 1991 when our son left home for college. Never had to make a major repair on either of them, and they both had 155K + on them when I sold them.

Interesting to see a few 131s in there. Did any of the US 131s have the 2 litre?
Mick.

Yes--from late-'78 on. The carb'd 2.0L didn't make any more hp than the 1.8L--just more torque.

How about that 1961 Fiat convertible roadster on the top left of page 180 (3rd page down)? In 1985 it was 1/2 the price of all the spiders listed, but now its the opposite. That car would fetch a pretty penny today, the description sounds good too.
