A near disaster!!
This past summer I built myself a nice 28x30 garage, for the purpose of housing my 82 Spider over the winter.I recently remodeled a house and removed a wood stove heater and pipe.I thought this would be perfect for my garage ,and living in a National Forest ,cheap to heat when I want to work out there.Today I fired the stove up and decided to start up the Fiat for the first time in 2 weeks. It started right up but sounded odd ,and then I realized a funny smell GAS ,LOTS OF GAS!!! It was spraying everywhere with a roaring wood stove 3 feet away.It seems with our cold snap(it hasnt been above 38 for several days) must have doomed the 25 year old fuel line that runs from my injector rail to the cold start valve.Luckily the spray or large puddle didnt ignite!! Its a wonder my butt didnt catch fire ,as I havent moved that fast in years!!! ALL fuel lines are being or have been replaced today. Craig

Santa(my wife) brought home the biggest fire ext. that the Depot carries, for the garage.I had a small one in the car ,but it wouldnt have been of much use.Mark, I noticed after replacing the line that the stutter I was asking about seems to be gone. I think it must have been sucking a little air thru that line.My guess is that our very cold weather and the sudden pressure from the fuel pump ,must have finished off the fuel line. Craig
