Check http://www.myfiat.weebly.com ... there are pics of MY FIAT (hence the web addy), and the center console of one that was for sale on Ebay...

I was actually in re-up shop today... they wanted $300 for the long one and $200 for the radio console, in leather.

Think they are high, likely going to check elsewhere.
Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, we have decided to turn off the light at the end of the tunnel. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I wanted the leather/german vinyl mix on purpose as that is what was 100% stock to my car, which is a late Pininfarina (same w/ the LE & Turbo). Not because I wanted the "cheapest" and you cannot just go out and purchase a combo kit. It also included new door panels, which were in horrendous condition. I paid around $1,500 in total for all, which included shipping and I think is a great deal. There should be wrinkles on the seats from the original type stitching pattern & stiffer leather. I preferred the seats to look as stock as possible.

In pricing out quality vinyl or naugahyde kits for all pieces it would have been exactly the same price.

The stitching was tight and flawless on the headrest. I was extremely picky in the workmanship and what the whole job entailed. I got several quotes here locally and it would have been $3K on up for 100% leather, at least $2k or more for combo and I would clearly not happy with the work because they were clueless as to what the original seats should look like.

The softer the leather, the more they would have to really stretch it in order to have tighter lasting workmanship. Softer leather is nice, but does also need more care and break down & loosen more easily with use and sun exposure (you are talking to horse girl here- everything is leather and I regularly restore, buy & sell saddles). So I did a lot of thinking & research of what would be best for my car.

BTW: My car won 1st at Italian Concours with 5 judges and 23 cars in the Fiat class. The head judge complemented the upholstery several times. It also won by popular vote at the the spring all- Italian show. So yes, I think it's already proven to be well suited for a nice "show" car.

sorry to dig up this ancient thread but does anyone know if Javier is still in business? Phone is disconnected, no email returned. Just curious if he's gone to work elsewhere but is still capable of doing a dash for me. I'm getting local quotes as well but if Javier can do them for what someone mentioned earlier in this thread, this might be worth hunting him down and shipping.

thanks for any tips

I had his cell number on my phone. I'm living in Okinawa japan for the next few years. Let me dig my cell phone out to see if I still got it.
