Grill trim

My 1974 has the chrome trim strip along the bottom and side of the grill opening. It does not have it along the bottom of the hood at the top of the grill opening. Looking at the hood there do not appear to be holes to mount trim to. Is the normal configuration of a 74 to only have trim on the bottom of the opening?

Yes yours is correct. Only the later cars have the hood strip. If you have a large bump hood on your car, you could add it.
