I picked up a horn button off of ebay that I though was pretty cool looking. Haven't seen this style before, was it on the sedan? Coupe? Definitely not the usual spider design
It's in very good overall shape, I'm going to buff the surface to get rid of the micro scratches and get it nice and polished

On a side note, there are two very very small cracks forming at 6 o'clock and 8 o'clock that are 4-5mm long and still beneath the outer surface of the resin. Is there anyway to stop them from spreading/slow them down? I imagine they form due to heating/cooling cycles between the resin shell and metal insert. I though about filling the inside with silicone/uerthane to try and keep the temperatures constant throughout the entire thing?
Interesting horn button

Re: Interesting horn button
i would say maybe the 61 spider or 1500 caberoilet as for the cracks cant help you. you might try asking a windshield place. if the crack repair could work on plastic. i dont think so but it would be worth a shot

Re: Interesting horn button
It was stock on the early 850 Coupe for sure, possibly also on the 124AC.

Lay it face down and inject super glue into the cracks. When dry paint over it with flat black paint. The glue will fill and stop the crack, the paint will make it less noticeable.

Re: Interesting horn button
Here in the USA, this horn button was used on 1968-only Fiat 850 Spider & 850 Coupe. 1967 had silver script rather than gold like this, 1969-on had the regular black w/red-centered horn button like the 124's.boogiedude wrote:I picked up a horn button off of ebay that I though was pretty cool looking.
