Compressed bumper shock

Once a rear bumper shock is compressed, is there any easy way to uncompress it? I want to pull it out to match the other one.

Why don't you compress the uncompressed one instead. Tucking in the late bumpers looks better, IMHO, than leaving them way out from the body. There are threads on here about tucking bumpers.
