Has anyone ever tried these seats? Pro rally by Scat

I was a dealer for Procar years ago, and those seats used to just bolt right into 124's. problem is, they changed the design of the bottom of the seat and the bolt pattern about 5-10 years ago. Now it is a nightmare to come up with some sort of a bracket that will bolt to the seat and allow them to be mounted to 124 sliders. too bad, as they look right in a 124 and are very supportive

Thanks Andy....you just saved me a lot of grief. I was pretty much sold on these seats and was planning on pulling the trigger on them in the next week or so. I suppose I would have found out through the initial phone conversation that these would not work, but you never know.
So I'm back to square one now, and the best I can come up with is that I will make some local upholstery shop happy covering the original seats.

If I had a Spider (and therefore didn't need rear seat access like in the Coupe), the fixed-back Abarth replicas from Spider Point or BT-Torino would be my first choice. They just look right.

I just took my starting to tear 20 year old Procar Rally seats out of the car and brought them to the upholstery shop to have them redone. I do love those seats in a 124.

Going to simplify the stitching a bit, lose the rear zipper and lower skirts. I am also having seat heaters put in them for those cold Bay Area foggy top down drives! I will post some photos when they are done. found a great material that is designed for motorcycles and ATV's. Looks and feels just like real black leather, but doesn't get that hot to the touch even in the sun. thicker than other vinyls, I am doing perforated centers and solid on the rest of the seats.

Well, that's disappointing. I was close to buying a set too. I'll be giving Procar a call soon to inquire about their Fiat mounting brackets. While they aren't listed on the website, I'm told that Procar does make them. Depending on the brackets' cost and how much they raise the seating position, Procars could still be an option.

the problem as I remember was there wasn't much room to work with to get the seats to fit in the allowed floor areas of our cars, with the space between the outside floor well shoulder and the center console just barely being large enough. . I never tried the brackets, because at the time they didn't have one for a Fiat 124. My concern about the brackets would be them sitting the seat up too high, but also having major interference with the center console.

I got an email back from Ron Greiner at Scat Enerprises.

He says he has sold the new Rally seats and the mounting brackets for the 124 Spiders and has not heard of any problems with them fitting. The bracket number is 81242 and lists for $77.95 per seat.

I'm going to ask if he would be willing to give references to the above claim.

I've seen pictures of some after market seats that sit so high I wonder if the top will still go up.

If anyone has pictures of the new version of the seat installed I would appreciate it. Anyone know if the head rests come off?

I did email back asking for references and mentioned seat height etc.

you used to be able to order all of the Procar seats with or without a headrest.

When you guys are talking about the seat being too high - do you mean the height of the seat back - ie the amount of clearance with the top - or the height of the seat itself from the floor?
