I work on Peachtree Steet in Atlanta, Beautiful day today, so I walked about 2 blocks South to where there are a few good lunchtime choices. On my walk back to the office I spotted two Fiat 500s parked at the curb, with a small portable flagstand flying a Fiat logo flag. Both 500s were opened up, and two late-20s guys wearing Fiat baseball caps were chatting with passers-by.
One of the 500s was sporting the copper color like this:
By far my favorite color. I stopped and chatted for a bit. They were from Fiat corporate, not connected with a local dealer. In exchange for filling out a short survey, I walked away with a $5 value Fiat logoed drawstring and a few brouchures. Not great swag, but what the hey. One of these in fact ---> http://www.e-store.fiatusa.com/product. ... _id=106DJA
Nice experience, no pressure, just casual marketing. They picked a great spot with lots of pedestrians, paid their time on two parking meters, and had a nice little marketing event.
After seeing/sitting in one, I'm a little more likely to consider one when it's time to buy.
For anyone in the area, they were on Peachtree Street NE, just south of the High Museum, opposite side of the street.
