I was wondering what other members done for a living here also. I work shift work in a lignite power plant. Fourteen shifts a month split between days and nights. Overtime here is in plentiful as everyone needs power. It's a good job and I'm really gonna need it to keep my spider on the road. Anyone living close to Texas planning a ride let me know and I'll try and join ya. Dennis

Hi Jason! Shane & I have benefited from your knowledge....this is a great forum - already started getting some great answers and ideas for my '78 Spider.

FYI - I'm a professional photographer mainly & have also worked at a furniture boutique for 10 yrs but just quit.

I'm a custom cabinet maker.

Been making cabinets since the age of 15...........I'm 45 now...........starting to get the hang of it now...........
If its made of wood I can fix it or remake it. Getting ready for the big move from Ca to Pa. When I get settled I'm fooling around with the idea of offering new replacement dash panels for the spider...........I really can't believe what venders charge for these. I will ofcorse sell them much cheaper and you can get what ever color you want........ 8)

I wish all safe and happy upcoming Holidays..............Tim aka TJBones

I want matching dash panels, console, shifter knob and steering wheel. I hate when they don't match! :x

Tim,

Where in PA are you moving to? We have a great group of guys in new jersey, very active and fun group. The dues and the entry fee are killer, though.

Self-employed for the last twenty-six years. I build, repair and restore early keyboard instruments that Bach, Handel and Mozart would have played - harpsichords, clavichords and fortepianos. Deb just retired on June 30th after thirty-two years with IBM Global Services and I'm going crazy not being able to do more things with her. So I'm going to more or less retire next Spring.
