As I was watching a 70s documentary on the Giro D'Italia I came across this beautiful doctors car. This is a great documentary if you are a fan of cycling.
Enjoy

Need a link. Giro is a great race but Paris–Roubaix is my favorite when there has been lots of hard rain. Mud & cobbles... you can't beat that

The Paris-Roubaix doc was incredible, I have recently gotten into road racing and I am lucky enough to be living in Quebec city where I am studying for the Quebec Bar exam. This Friday Qc city hosted a Grand Prix cycling race which ran literally a block away from me in the old city. Incredible stamina to be able to go up these hills over 5 hours. Today the race moved to my home town Montreal.
I posted the link above in a second posting, It looks like an early spider with he chrome bumpers. I always wondered about fashioning some kind of a contraption that I can clip my bike onto my spider when the roof is down.
Just in case the first link didn't work here it is again

Thank you for posting!
I sent it along to most of my "gearhead" buddies! We all got a kick out of it. 'Specially the soundtrack!

Super cool, thanks for posting! I too have gotten back into cycling (bought a used De Rosa) and will watch the entire documentary, I'd never heard of this one. If anyone has good solutions to carrying a bicycle with a Fiat Spider, I'd love to hear about it. I presume a trunk-mounted rack could work, but I'm a little worried about damage to the trunklid.

what about setting up a "tow" kit on the spider. they make bike racks that go on the hitch. if you didnt keep a ball on there could it be hidden? or maybe you could take the hitch off altogether when not in use for the bike(s)?
just a thought as i'm a cyclist too and i'm actually trying to sell my prized bike to buy a fiat!!!
