What color attracts you most?

We've had many threads on what color a Spider should be painted. It is really a matter of personal taste, but what color would sell the easiest?

- Red Spiders probably sell the most frequently because red is the most predominant color
- According to the DuPont Automotive’s Color Popularity Report, the most popular colors for sports cars are as follows:

Because classic cars are very different than cars in general.........

Green, White, Red. Wait those are the Italian flag colors

Dark green with a tan interior looks great. Mine is an original silver (metalic grey) with a burgundy interior, which I think is sharp and not very common.

The original brown spiders aren't very appealing.

bright yellow is really striking, but this car looks good in almost any color

I like the Italian Yellow, "Fly Yellow", as Ferrari calls it. But I do NOT like the "Mustard" color that Fiat used on these cars.
And I agree about the brown. but then, I don;t know why you'd paint ANY car brown....

Also maytag, there were a couple different yellows used throughout production, there was the mustardish one(cant remember the color name) and then there was true yellow, color code giallo, and it is as yellow as can be lol

Mines been painted burgundy, love the color.
It was originally brown, not a color I would choose.

I also like yellow & of course red.
Then theres the medium/dark blues that I think are beautiful too.
White looks super clean & black sleek, nice, but neither my first choice.

Now is there a color I think looks bad, Noooo, you can't make a Fiat look bad with any color!
Oh I take that back -Fiats look bad in RUST!

I love the light blue azzurro metallic with tan interior and top, and can't wait to get mine restored to shine once again.

I don't like the brown, either. I think the cream is subtle, and I prefer red over black or white. I also like the orange that some early cars were painted in. It's similar to the orange BMW used on the 2002 in the '70's.

I think a dark green with tan would be classy, as would a dark blue metallic.

And if your wife has any say over it, purple with charcoal interior/top would go right up on the list.

I love the color of mine (all black, gunmetal rims, all black interior, real wood dash)...

but have to admit I've seen a few others I've (also) coveted... this one is quite snazzy

Blonde ! oh we are talking car color, RED ! the 1st spider I ever drove or seen was brown. so I have a soft spot for that but that isnt in my top 3. I would say my second choice would be the Blue / grey of Craig Nelson's spider and I really would like to see Brady's smoked grey or black as he calls it ,in person

I was in Cancun once, and saw a fine young blond in a very tight orange bikini. I'm just glad the wife wasn't around right then.

The spider is a unique car, and it needs a unique color. Orange is hot! First spider/car at 16 was orange, current spider is also orange. Recently bought an orange SUV (actually copper) for the wife/baby, now I got 2 orange cars.

Thinking about color is something that will drive you nuts. At least it did for me for about two years. I think I went through a dozen colors before painting my car. The problem for me is I like a lot of colors. I never would have thought I would like a white looking Fiat until I saw my buddy's car. You really never know the effect the color will have on you until you see the car in that color. Wheels can also make a car look sweet. You might not like a car with a specific color then you add some cool wheels and "wham!" that car looks great. If your looking for a color to paint your car, you really should see that color on a car in sunlight and a cloudy day. Light can make the color look drastically different. Primer is another thing to think about. A dark primer can make a color look different compared to a light primer. So if you see a car you like, just don't find out the color. Try to find out what color primer was used. Paint shops use this technique all the time especially with candy colors. The color of my car is Meteorite silver. It has copper in the paint and when the light hits it just right gives the curves a different shade which is pretty cool. In the light, you can see the metal flake too. In the dark, my car looks as if it were black. I love how the this color accentuates the spiders curves. Here are a couple pic's of the difference of my color. Once I saw the color of my car on another, I knew for sure that's the color I wanted.
