replacement door panels - comments
I think i'm about done trying to get my kick panels to stay on my original warped door panels - can anybody share their experience with aftermarket panels - Vick, IAP, etc. Since they run close to $500, Any info would be greatly appreciated.

yea, those! i ended up using double stick foam tape. i had epoxied studs to the back where the plastic posts had broken off, but they just wouldn't hold up.

I think Bruces has the chrome kick plates for $50 dollars each side. I will be ordering these if I know I can get them in short order.

If the problem is a warped door panel, you can remove the upholstery from the fiberboard panel, cut new panels and staple the upholstery and cording onto the new panel. The panels in this picture were warped horribly because they came off of a parts car that had been sitting in the rain for about two years. I removed the vinyl carefully (as not to crack the edges that were turned under and stapled down), and remounted them to new panels that I cut out. Total cost was about $12 and they're flat as a pancake. Your kick panel should stay adhered with silicone glue. It takes a while to dry, but holds exceptionally well.

Page 61 of the Bruces catalog has the full panel at $200 each and the chrome kick plate at $50 each. For cars up to '78.
