Imagine My Surprise:

Post by opus10583 »

Tootling along, circumventing the Port Chester business district while looking for stone walls to bounce by exhaust sound off of after work; I look down the road when a light turns green to see a pretty red Spider 2000 heading my way, lights on and the driver waving so enthusiastically!

Put a cherry on the top of a drive on one of the top ten Spider driving evenings of the year!

..."Nice Car"!

Ciao,
Mark

I see spiders now and then (pretty rare, Canada is not known as a "smart to own convertible" place)... but so far, NEVER while I'm driving mine!!!
Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, we have decided to turn off the light at the end of the tunnel. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I was downtown the other day where the main street has just undergone a "promanade" upgrading. The speed limit is 15mph and as I was leaving the library a lady stepped out of the pedestrian area and started walking in the street towards me. I'm wondering what is her problem. I stopped when she was in front of me and she came around to tell me "I've got one at home just like yours!" She told me she'd given it to her son but he was neglecting it so she took it back and is fixing it back up. She was really exited to see another Spider, and we bonded instantly.

I'm amazed at how many I've seen this summer in Rhode Island. This area is a hot bed for cool cars. I see TONS of classic cars daily. Usually typical, but I've seen more than three Spiders this summer. And they were three different colors so I know they weren't the same one.
