My '69 came with two bolts in the center of the bumper for license plate attachment.

I bought a small piece of 1/8" aluminium flat bar from the hardware store.
A little cutting, a little fileing a few holes a couple of self tapping screws and WA-LA, front licence plate mount.
Angled it a few degree's to help direct the air flow into the grill.
Can't really even see the mount, beats wire ties

I drilled two holes in the lower bumper tube, and used self tapping S.S. screws to mount the Alum. plate.
The plate size is 4" x 8" and I cut mine in kind of a triangular shape. Two holes on the top to fit the Licese plate and two holes on the bottom about 4" apart to mount to the lower tube.

Hi Joe,

Thanks, and again for the tip. I only got it back from "rehab" Saturday, I did pick-up steel wool tonight, and did not know about clear rust converter.

Thanks,
Mark
