If you own a Pininfarina Spider with the " 876 Azzura Met" trunk sticker paint code that none of the PPG suppliers have on their computer anymore, you are not alone. We are having a rainy day here in MN, and I got bored and surfed into PPG's corporate website, and after having no luck with their famous "color library", my email must have found just the right person, who actually coughed up their propreitary, top secret matching formulation in modern paints. Yup, that's right, they emailed me the actual formula! Said I could take it to a PPG dealer and have in mixed right up. Cool!! Now I can say goodbye to that nasty black Earl Scheib paint job and get my car back to the right color ( like my engine bay, trunk, etc.).
I dont have the technology right now to actually post this, but, I'd be happy to forward the email to anyone who needs it personally or would like to post it on this site. Gee, the favours we need to ask just to buy five hundred dollar a gallon paint!
