DOES any one know if the 74 rocker panels fit on the 79?
is there any site showing that parts are swap to other years?

Re: rocker panels
If anyone has a tutorial on this I'd love to see it. My car has no rockers but it comes with new ones for me to weld on.

Re: rocker panels
They don't get welded on. They get screwed on.
Re: rocker panels
Yeah. Just figured that out about ten minutes ago. Man there's a lot of info. Tough to sift through. I believe my uncle has two brand new rockers. Hope they fit right. I know he took off the old rockers. I'm feeling better about the body work now. Just need to fill up some rust holes, sand the whole thing down, prime and paint. Harder than it sounds, but better than welding on rocker panels!

Re: rocker panels

They get screwed on. You can see in my post here how the ends are supposed to look. I had to weld a new corner on.

Re: rocker panels
I really can't tell from those photos how the rockers attach to the wheel arches. Can you explain?
Thank you1

Re: rocker panels
If you look at the top pic, you'll see the stud that goes through the body into the front of the back wheel well. The nut is on the inside.Looking at the bottom pic, you can see where I welded the corner in front of the back wheel. Look behind it to see the nut.
Re: rocker panels
Nice rack. I assume you fabricated that yourself? That's GOTTA come in handy.
Re: rocker panels
Yeah it was really nice being able to take the car out of the garage and work on it. It was also on it when I took the car to get painted. I sold that one. I can make one for you if interested. I designed them to fully disassemble for shipping. They also raise up to @23"
Re: rocker panels
That is pretty cool. I have to go pretty cheap on this, but I may as well ask how much. Shoot me a PM about it if you'd like. Odds are I won't be able to, but it'd be sure cool to have. Could I replace the suspension while it's up?
Re: rocker panels
I think the price was set at $275+ shipping. I mentioned it somewhere but can't find where. You could do anything while it's up.

Re: rocker panels
kbee, the rockers have 2 8mm nuts , one in the front and one in the rear, they come in from behind, they use a large area washer. the nuts will most likely break off, the studs will be rusted, make sure and use pblaster.
