Spider Wanted-Iowa

Hi Guys

I've been very slowly putting together a '76 Spider. In July of last year I picked up a nice MG Midget as I wanted a driver while I was working on the Spider. Interestingly enough, I had a lady stop by my shop yesterday that had been looking for a Midget for over a month, and couldn't believe she'd found one right in her home town, in the exact color she wanted. She made me a reasonable offer and I accepted. I hadn't planned on selling it, but in the back of my mind I was considering trading it for another Spider down the road.

At this point I'm considering buying another Spider that's ready to go, and then work on my 76 project as time allows. Does anyone have a carbureted model in Iowa (I'm in southeast Iowa) or a neighboring state that they'd consider selling? My main concern in my search is that I find a car with absolutely no rust, and most of the mechanicals taken care of. I'm pretty good at body work, but it's not my most favorite task in the world. I'm also fairly skilled on the mechanical side, but I'd prefer a driver, as I already have a project car. I may be asking for a lot in my area, but I know that if there's something out there then I'll probably find it on this site. I'd prefer red in color, but I'll consider all options.

Josh, my buddy has been trying to sell a fiat or two for some time. If he still has the good one, it's fairly drivable. We both live in Hamilton, il. PM me if you want his info! Where are you in SE Iowa???
