Backyard painter here....yes, I have used it, really worked well, this was last year. Suprised me.

I used the Krylon chrome, and repainted my old luggage rack. Not supper shinny, looks like nice brushed aluminum. Worth a try.

I used Dupli-color Chrome spray paint from NAPA

I used it on my grill, It's not "chrome" by any means but does come out quite shiney, I'm impressed with it, alot better than just silver.

I also used it to repaint the reflectors in my front marker lights, the stock coating was mostly flaked off.
If you look at the old bulbs I left in for painting it is almost crome-like on them.
