New Dream Car

Post by kmac33 »

I have an official new "Dream Car".

Autoweek's Robert Cumberford refers to the 4C as a potential "modern Stratos".
I better start saving now!

Brady,
Unfortunately I'm not real young, and like you, I will likely be dead before saving up enough to buy one! :(

Isn't amazing on how if you would of bought one when they were new. They were actually in a reachable price range.

Hey Kevin, did you read the article in that issue comparing 6 compact cars? Anything strike you as missing?

dream on, fellas!
consider this.
In 1970 you could buy a daytona or a muira for $25k. They came out with a dino because they felt the high end cars were just too pricey. A new dino was $12k. I just bought my first car, a 70 124 spider for $3600- $1250 trade in for my 850 spider. Just moved into a 4 bedroom 2 bath duplex and paid $275/mo. was going to grad school and that cost me $180 a term with an RA. A 3 bed, 2 bath house with garage went for under $20k. Gas was 30 cents. One of my school chums graduated with a PHD in nuclear physics and nailed down his first job earning a cool $12.5k a year.
Now think about how the prices have gone up and how much salaries have gone up and you may come to the same conclusion as me that we are going backward financially.
come down out of the sky and appreciate the real bargain of the century. a nice clean restored spider for mid 4 figures. this, my friends, is livin' the dream!
