Car from San Francisco, FIAT America is on the way to ICF
The Spider that has already arrived is from Seattle.
The contender from San Francisco (representing FIAT America) departed for ICF today, Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007.

FIAT America contender arrives 10 a.m. Thursday by transport
FIAT America contender arrives 10 a.m. Thursday by transporter in Grapevine.
Denise starts out from Brinkley, Arkansas Thurs. a.m.
She reports she is staying in touch with Alvon and Gary as they drive in from LA. She states that they crossed the border into West Texas and have 600 miles to cover as they all close in on Grapevine, Texas for the final round of the Best Spider Challenge at ItalianCarFest.

Only one will go home with the distiction of having their spider selected as North American Champion and receive the valuble custom glass trophy and $500 cash awarded by the ICCS plus a Series II Brake Kit (kit donated by Whoa Brakes).

All sweet cars, I'm rootin for denise though. not that anyone cares. I'll be sitting here with my beer helmet on and a pennant flag with denise's name on it, maybe shirtless with some face-paint. Not that I'm a big enthusiast or anything....ok, i admit it, i think her car is freaking awesome!
I do have to admit though, I think Gary Poage's 69 is pretty sweet too!!! it's going to be a tough call!

If I think my Friat will make the run to PA then I'll definitely be there next year. I don't have and won't get a trailer for this thing, so it has to be able to make it on it's own. I'm hoping for another FFO somewhere in the midwest in the next few years to look forward to. More time = a better Friat for me, so it's all for the better....
anyway, at the next FFO i attend, you can bet I'll have the beer helmet on, and my wife can be designated Friat chauffeur!
