Italian/French fathers day in North Vancouver 2011

Hey peoples on/near the wet coast. I gave the coordinator a call yesterday about this event,heres whats happening.
Date : fathers day 2011 June 19th.
Where : waterfront park in NORTH VANCOUVER, just east of the marine training building on Espanade (towards Londsdale)
No entry fee
Time; start showing up around 9:30-10:00 am and you will be directed to a spot/area.(event time is indicated as 11:00)
He mentioned that it would be great to see some fiats at the event as they are showcasing the return of Fiat to the North American market and in past years there has not been much of a Fiat presence.

Any chance a few might be around on Sat to go for a cruise somewheres? Whistler perhaps?

Just a reminder, this is comming up in a few weeks. It will be glorious Vancouver weather at a venue on the waterfront! (well one out of two is'nt bad )
Perhaps a meet on Sat and a drive to whistler for lunch or something? Sunday breakfast at whitespot(eggs benny ) and to the venue around 9:30?
Fiat dealers are going to be there with some 500's I believe.

Chris, my son Tim and I will be there on Sunday. I'm not sure we can make it a day early though. Would love a drive up the mountains, but I guess we would miss that if only there on Sunday. Will see you there and look forward to seeing you too Bruce. Anyone not thinking of attending might want to review this you-tube video of last year that you posted awhile back.Wow!

This event is a week tomorrow. Is anyone interested in a drive on Saturday?

Hey Bruce, count me in. Just finished swapping a few bits and pieces around in the car and now have a week to make sure the thing will work properly.

Keep me posted about the time and route. I might be able to make it on Saturday as well as Sunday. Sunday for sure though.

Why don't we meet at the Eagleridge shopping centre (Eagleridge exit on the Upper Levels) at 11:00 AM on Saturday. We'll drive to Whistler for lunch and return. This will give Launie a chance to get over on a Sat morning Ferry.
Note - no drive if it's raining.
Anyone else going to join us??

Raining quite hard in Vancouver today, so no Whistler drive (for Chris and I anyway). Weather supposed to be cloudy/sunny tomorrow so we will definetly be at the event. Hope others can make it too.

Bruce and Chris, and others, I'm really disappointed but won't be able to make it. Too many other commitments and a tight schedule. I do want to meet up with you guys sometime this summer, and Bruce, I still need to install my new Germanex top, so I'll be calling you sometime, hopefully not too long from now!

Hey Launie - sorry you can't make it, but I will take some pictures. The weather brightened up a bit this afternoon and Chris and I spent a couple of hours tinkering with the cars - actually Chris was tinkering, I was looking after the installation fluid.
Still want to "help" with your top installation, although I'm going to be away from July 15 - Aug 15, so if the timing doesn't work out, that's OK.
We'll keep in touch.

While the weather was iffy, and the Spider turnout wasn't so great, it was a good day anyway. Lots of Ferraris, Lambos, Maserattis and Alfas. Even some old and new 500's. Here's a few pics...

These pictures were taken early in the day. By noon, there were at least 100 cars and hundreds of people showing and viewing. Hopefully next year we can get a bigger Spider turnout!
