Small, efficient diesels please! Why is no one bringing their European motors here?
I am a release engineer. I usually just say I work in software and hope no one asks for more detail about it. My company runs online casio and poker games which we market to Europe and Asia.
Tim.
Thanks, I am getting junk mail from you guy's every day on my German yahoo account.
I do agree on the small Diesels. Here all you see is V10 Diesel and they have to run 24/7 because it is not good to turn them off and also you don't want to drain the battery while charging your cell phone.
Now only if VW would pair the TDI to the 4motion, and still offer a manual tranny, you'd have a great car for Canadian Winters!
I'd be happy with a diesel Subaru Outback that is offered in the UK. Something with enough grunt to tow a fiat, on the rare occasions that she breaks down, while still getting decent fuel economy.

Probably have. We're the ones that issue the Warnings and Advisories for you also.

NA is 15ppm max sulfur, EU is 50ppm (according to wikipedia). They don't have the newer super strict emissions requirements the US has put on diesels now.
Wow, like many others here have said, what an interesting bunch of people. Funny, how we all like rusty little cars.
Comptroller to a plastics manufacturing plant. Everyone uses our products every day and never even realizes it. We're located in TX, sell globally and are beating the crap out of the Chineese. Go USA!
Edit to my previous post.
After 13 years doing my best to service our customers in general aviation maintenance. I have resigned to take a new position at a new job in a slightly different field.
I'll now be working for a little company in Rancho Cordova,CA. And with any luck this will be my last job change before I retire in 15 or 20 years.

I'm retired. I "officially" retired at 62 in 2003 and then went back to work part time in 2004 in the Rec. Dept of an Arts and Craft store; A little over a year later, I WAS the receiving and Shipping manager and full time. I worked until the spring of 2009 when I had turned 68 and Retired for the final time. (Good thing, less than a year later the store closed due to poor economy). We took a trip to the UK in 2009, then up to Minnesota; A trip to Missouri for my Uncles 100th Birthday and finally a trip to Oklahoma for my 50th Class reunion. Haven't gone any where this year or last.
I am a theatrical Electrician. Working here in Atlantic City at Several Casinos and the big Convention Centres. If you see a show in Atlantic City, Chances are, I helped Focus the lights. That is my main niche. I am one of the few crazies who will walk a "stick" of swaying aluminum truss 25 to 50 feet in the air to focus the lights..
My Fiat is pretty much my job. If I ever get mine back on the road I will drive it to work every day.
That is my number one goal right now!
I really want to get out of Los Angeles and move to the Austin Texas area, so if anyone knows of any work that is manufacturing, or maintenance, slightly technical (like sound light or video equipment related) or even customer (public relations) related, let me know!!
I have jumped around a little with my work experience between growing up in Northeast Ohio and going to college there, and moving out to Los Angeles working in the Entertainment Industry for a few years till that kinda went down hill and then doing Maintenance for Charter Yachts to Catalina Island and soon after, doing building maintenance for a large new Resort Hotel since it opened. But there is nothing like the freedom of my hobby which is buying, fixing, and selling cars whenever possible...or whenever times get tough... man this economy has put me through some interesting twists and turns!
I just happened to get way to involved with my love affair for Alfa Romeos, Lancias, and FIATs to ever stop that hobby... and in this case ever wanting to sell my car no matter what happens..
I think if I ever end up having to sell this FIAT Coupe, I could only hope that my winding, climbing road of life could eventually lead me to move back to my roots in Italy where the Italian cars are as abundant as garlic, wine, olive oil, and pasta!
For the past 11 years I have been in charge of the distribution of various products all over the lower 48 states. The products i distribute range from cars to cat litter. In other words, I am a truck driver...lol. even a baby sitter's job sounds important if worded properly...
