Hi all, I am looking for some input, and hopefully some of your experience in determining how to best set up my 1971 Spider so that I can tow it home in case of a breakdown. I am hoping that I will never need to use it, but I want to be prepared so that I don't have to rely on an expensive tow truck tow.
Has anyone successfully used the front bumper mounts to attach the tow bar to? They appear to be solid on this year, vs. later year shock type, so I am hopeful that they may be suitable. The tow bar manufacturer does recommend anchoring to steel bumpers on older vehicles.
I am looking forward to your replies.
