I would like to know what the pro's and con's are on increasing the HP.Also I am looking for a roll bar can anyone help?

Since nobody else chimed in, here are my thoughts.

Pros - Your car has more kick or umph.
It's fun to work on your car
Other guys will want to check our your car.
You know the power is there

Cons:
Cost
Down Time
Stressing an older botton end of the motor
Driving faster and crashing
Ability issues if your mechanical skills are not up to any task.
Tweaking or breaking another part of your already old car
Spending copious amounts of cash to get up to 65 mph a few seconds faster
Geting your car dino'ed so you can make sure you didn't decrease the HP
Constant trips to the auto parts store (With these gas prices)
You wife bitching about you spending $ (If your married - You married guys know what I'm talking about)
Updating EVERY OTHER THING on your car to handle the increased HP
These cars don't come with airbags
Driving fast doesn't actually impress the ladies.

Really, it's your car - their are no pros or cons about anything you do to it as long as you enjoy it.

Any other fiat cars in the area? perhaps see if you can take a different one around the block or something. Katsi is right many pluses and more negatives but a well running car with some power is a hoot. The 79/80 carb'd unfortunately is a year where the fiat engine was lacking in power compared to other years. When the car is running and well sorted it is a delight to drive,but don't try a car with some mods and might have another 20-30 hp, that can get expensive. I'd estimate $2500-$3500 anyway for engine and exhaust upgrades.(balancing,new pistons with re-bore ,headers, 1800 worked head new carb(s) and intake...)
Where abouts are you? Fiat club nearby that you could meet up with?
