Is this the right radiator and hoses?

Post by Klayfish »

After getting advice from lots of folks on the Spider boards, I'm planning to "button up" my orange Spider's engine in hopes to actually get the old girl to fire up for the first time since Y2K wasn't a distant memory. :D Actually, it wasn't 11 years, but probably 7 or 8. Then I'll be able to quickly see what's broken, leaking or whatever and be able to go after it.

I'm waiting on my new vee belt. But once I get that, I'll be reinstalling the radiator and hoses. I've got lots of parts in boxes in my basement. I've got 4 radiators, maybe 5, and lots of hoses. I tried to slip one of the radiators with attached fan in for a test fit. I'm not sure it's right. It seemed a bit too tall and was seemed awful close to the water pump pulley. Perhaps I put it in wrong, but I'm not sure.

Can you check out these pictures and tell me if I have the right radiator and hoses? The hoses are connected, as I was trying to mock things up. In the picture, one of the hoses has dirt/grunge on it. I cleaned it off, so it was just surface dirt it picked up somewhere.

Thanks.
