Closing on this house on wednesday:

built in 1858, this thing is pretty cool. there have been several add-ons and some mild molestation of it since it was built nearly 150 years ago, but all in all it's ready to move into (there is still a little construction going on, as you can tell in the pics). I have thousands of dollars worth of restoration, construction and landscaping plans, so I think you know what that means about the speed at which my Fiat will be into desired condition. Fear not, though this Fiat isn't going anywhere: I can't wait to see it in good condition pictured in front of my 3-story Brick house!

OK, I'm back into it for the time being. Still doing a lot of work on the house, building a walk-in closet for about a year now, mostly done with a bathroom renovation. paint removal on some things in order to stain, painting some other things, collecting antiques to put in the house, taking care of some landscaping, fixing a mower every few weeks. Haven't thought about the Free-at for some time now. City came by in the spring and told me it had to get running and licensed or had to leave. They must not have been too serious about it because I left it where it was. I don't want to risk having it be there next spring, so I'm jumping back into the car work now.
I've been avoiding it because I just felt like the whole new carb install was gonna be hard. I've got it mounted in there ready for the gas and other hoses to be hooked back up. I'm still not sure, but I think I can get it now after labeling all the hookups. Then I have to figure out what to do with the oil dipstick and I'll be in business.
