I agree the association of the car to RT adds little to its value.

I would disagree about scrapping the car or parting or some other not returning it to its former glory.

There are just too few Coupes left in the US. If no one else wants it I do and would be happy to return it to its former glory. Its not the return on investment, its the value the car has to the individual.

I know there seem like plenty of these cars in California but they are rare cars anywhere else.

I second Karl's sentiments. For the vast majority of us, keeping these great cars on the road, or restoring them back to their former glory is definitely not about a return on monetary investment.
I'm guessing I've got at least twice the "market value" of my Spider in her "restoration".... Best investment I've ever made :D .
If I had the space, and hadn't just acquired the soon to be track Spider, I'd be interested too.

Amazing. I still have yet to get my 69 Coupe running. I got the engine back together after replacing the head , thanks Mark for the head. The cold cold winter has hit here in Utah and I don't have a heated garage! This has got my blood flowing again, thanks for the video.

...I'd want those wheels if parting comes to pass.

Thanks,

it's on ebay currently, if it doesn't sell I may pull the wheels and sell them separately.

Your comment on EBay about the value of the wheels is about what I have into mine(4) after sourcing the caps from Italy and glass beading the wheels and re-finishing them.

No doubt a healthy dose of retail hyperbole; in the "abandoned in place" condition presented they're worth about $60-75per. ...Nicely tarted-up maybe $125. Like the cars themselves, buy and fix em is always a loss.

I want them, but can only find one tire worth driving on that fit them, and that's yesterday. Four years from now they're wall hangings.

Even 14" is a wasteland.

Thanks,
Mark
