If Fiats were originally sold in Cn, did they have different bumpers than US versions?

i think the canadians adopted all US safety specs for automobiles long before the Spider was available.

they've been building "detroit" iron in canada for a long, long, time; and the vehicles were interchangeable for use in either country for longer than that.

I brought my 83 from the States a year ago. I did not have any problems. the paperwork has Pininfarina and Fiat on it.

Reading the document, I really don't see where I could not import a 1985 fiat spider into Canada from the US. The table in Section 3 only applies to vehicles 1992 and newer, not older. The table in Section 2 states that all vehicles 15 years and older are admissible. Seeing that Spiders were not manufactured after 1985 this is really a non-issue.

Regards to all,
