Relays

Post by AllyCat555 »

I'm looking for a door chime relay, where should I look to buy it and how much are they? I don't know if Relays are general or have to be for the specific location. I saw some on eBay for 5$ but they all have serial numbers and I don't know what number I need or if it matters? Any advice would be appreciated:) summer is just around the corner so it's time to tie up all the loose ends with the fiat! Thanks-Ally

I'm not sure what the details of your car are, but be aware that many of the ignition switches sold by the vendors today are the early style and eliminate the door chime.

You are perhaps the only person in the world looking to restore function to the door chime

Trey, I'm confused by your post. Our early models don't have a door chime?

I have several of the door chime/buzzers. There is a relay for the circuit that may be specific to the year of car. Alleycat, what year is your car? If I don't have the relay, I can at least tell you the part number for the relay if I know the year of your car.

It's a 1976 spider, I am pretty sure I found the relay socket and buzzer under the glove box so that's an improvment already! I still have the original ignition so it looks like it's still connected( orange and white wire). Haha, ya I may be only one trying to reinstall the buzzer... I must be goin crazy ;)

I should have the buzzer and relay for a 76. There is also a delay switch.
