Check the post "Am i crazy?????? " and you'll see my interior wich was tan when i bought the car. The guy who did it is in LA. I can check for is phone number. There was also i company who still have them in black, but the price was too much for me. Like $2000-$2500 for my interior less the seats.

Thanks if you could get his ph# for me would be great, do you recall how much it was to recover yours? And I also heard you could modify an earlier model console to work, anyone know anything about that?

Re: 83 center console needs replaced
Which part of the center console are you looking to replace? The horizontal section that runs between the seats? Or the vertical dash center section that houses the radio, clock, vents, etc?
If it's the lower part, one of the standard "off-the-shelf" center consoles will fit. Vick Auto for example has overlays starting at $97, and a new replacement console for $298. Vick's specifically says that the lower console can be adapted to to fit the 83-85 years.
If it's the vertical part you need, there your options are much more limited. I've seen a new one on Midwest Bayless for $300
The above prices are for black, tan may not be available, or may be a different price.
