Since the interrior was not finished, I had the hardtop on and alot of folks did not notice. But I did get alot of compliments and was pleased to hear them after all of the effort. Did you sell many? Is it an Alaf spinoff? When I finish the interrior I will post more pics, or visit Racydaves Fiat at Flickr. Mike, the $10.00 bucks is in the mail. Dave

Dave
it's a copy of the Ferrari 250 Calif dash, and as of this time I haven't put them in production. I really didn't get many positive responses so I haven't determined there is enough of a market for them. I'm working on a variation with a map pocket, as that seems to be one of the first questions asked about it.

Map pocket with or without a door? The Brits call those cubby boxes, and I think the ones without a door are U.G.L.Y. especially if you cram a lotta crap into them like i do. Who wants to look at my maps, registration & insurance papers, directions for my radio (who can ever remember how to set the clock?).

Dave's set up looks real sleek and speed racer sexy. however, the first thing i noticed was the lack of the old fashioned glove box, mostly because i use the heck outa mine.

i'd be real interested in your dash, mark, if you could incorporate yea old fashioned cram box into the design; the kind that hides the contents obviously.

TEN BUCKS? wow, i forgot about any cashola !!

a hinged glove box would complicate the process ALOT, and of course make the dash much more expensive. That might price it out of consideration for most

might be true.

and i might be the only trash hound too. just throwing in my $.02 as i have seen the dash in action.

maybe i could figure out how to rid my self of the massive collection i fill my current glove box with.

So, you are talking more along the lines of the British cubby? an open shelf? it definitely would work, and i am still curious to see it in action.

I have to admit, its all about the bling. And I did not buy this car to be pratical. But since I removed the rear seat, I will incorperate some storage area there. And still need to come up with a upper console. And a shifter boot.

getting that rubber boot back in place will help to keep the heat out of the cabin.

Once you getta lower console in place, regardless of style...the outer boot is easily stitched by making a cone out of your upholstery vinyl. Depending on the vinyl you use, you prolly could make your own outer boot.
