Fuel Injection Question

Post by spidernut »

I once heard that they're is a difference between the 1980 and later fuel injection systems. I haven't seen any differentiation in the parts catalogs. Is there a difference or not? I'm looking at buying an 80 Spider with EFI.

The only difference that I know of is the pre-heater on the throttle body was a seperate piece, attached by a spring. The later one is built in.

I think Trey is right. I have a 80 and believe the intake water jacket was the only difference. Everything else I thought was interchangable.Engine parts are same thoroughout the years.
