Stolen Goods

Post by sawmkw »

Someone(s) broke into my house yesterday (during the day) and ransacked it taking everything electrical (computers, cameras, binoculars, TVs, cable boxes, etc.) along with jewelry, heirlooms, tools etc. In particular, I would ask you to be on the look out for the following Fiat parts that were taken as well...

A complete powder plated Allison exhaust system including a magnaflow 3 1/2" twin SS muffler and header for a 124 Spider. It was new and not yet installed. Additionally a new fuel rail (painted silver) with new hoses and rebuilt injectors was taken. My guess is that they did not know what these things actually fit, but if you see them please let me, or the Middletown Connecticut police department know.

I am not able to monitor this site with any regularity until I replace the computers but I do thank you in advance for being on the watch. This sucks.

That is a real bummer, Scott. Thank goodness nobody was home when they decided to break in! I'll try to keep an eye out on Ebay for you.

Thanks Denise...It's got to be a small market for these things. I let the locals know so maybe someone will be stupid and try to sell them. I hope anyway.

Here is a link to a picture of the exhaust components...

wow Scott, that is a bummer! We had our house burglarized some years ago, and it really is a horrible experience. I would assume the thieves don't know the exhaust fits a Fiat, so it may turn up for sale as a generic system somewhere

Scott, WHAT a colossal drag. I had an apartment burglarized 30 years ago, felt violated, I feel for you.

At least I hope your homeowner's insurance will kick in...

Check your local/regional Craig's List too, aside from eBay.

I recently busted a neighbor, 19 years old, for stripping a stolen car in the carport of my building. When the cops came to investigate, they recovered another stolen car (driven by a friend of his), personal belongings in the trash bins linking him to several other car thefts, as well as electronics stolen in recent break-ins at both the fire department and a high school. Out on bail, he stole another car and led cops on a high-speed chase and eluded them. They knew who he was, though. When I went to testify against him in court on Monday AM, they took him into custody, where I'm told he will stay for at least 3 years.

Hopefully his/her neighbors will rat him/her out like I did.
