I have an extra set of stock wheel spacers. I was thinking about putting them on the rear wheels. I think it would look better if the rear wheels were closer to the outside of the body. I have stock steel rims.
Has anybody done this (doubled up wheel spacers)? Engineering wise one thick spacer would obviously be better than two seperate ones. Lug bolts, and locating pins should be long enough.
Only thing I forsee is that the large center hole in the rim might not fit tightly on the axle stub-out (mock hub casting). Not shure how offset will affect the car tracking down the road.
Granted its only a few milimeters more offset, but If it is going to put excessive strain on the lug bolts, then I won't do it.
Just want to here some suggestions.

Because the spacer is held in place by the locating pins and the four lug bolts, i don't forsee an issue with the spacer sliding around.
i might wanna caution about the length of the lug bolts to ensure that they are long enough to get ample threads on the axle shaft flange.
and, can you actually SEE the difference that 3/8" spacer makes?
