Steering Wheel Swap

Ok, I have the stock "2 Spoke" steering wheel in my 76. Looks great but for me its too thin. Just cant get a comfortable grip. I'm used to a steering wheel that is a little more beefy. I have thought about a cover but to me on the skinny wheel they dont look right and I think it might move around a bit. Does anyone know of a steering wheel swap that might fit my needs? Something I can get a good grip on that wont block the gauges too bad and wont look silly.

go for a 1980+ steering wheel.....you don't want to obscure your gauges by getting a wheel too small??

Just looked up the 80+ steering wheels. I like the look alot more that my 76 wheel. Are those a direct fit or is an adaptor hub needed?

I believe they are a direct fit (<----Others need to chime in here...) but couldn't be sure..., maybe worth getting the boss as well, Justin Case....

The later wheel does use an adapter, usually people sell them with the wheel. So when you are watching for them on ebay make sure you get one that includes the adapter and horn button as it is a somewhat difficult to source part.

I just swapped out my old two-spoke. Got this from IAP. You need to get a hub adapter from them also.

It comes with a plain black horn button. I removed an old gearshift Fiat emblem and glued it in place.

I swapped out My stock 80 wheel for my "thin" 68 wheel . when right in no issues I think where the problem is,when you go to a after market wheel. I do have a stock 80 wheel I will sell you for $25 plus shipping. needs paint but it would give you something to play with and if you liked it than i time you could spend the money for the better ones email or pm me if you interested
