WAY Off Topic
Re: WAY Off Topic
I'm hoping to get some pics of the car with the moon in the background
Re: WAY Off Topic
Mark you read my mind. I'm going to try to get to a place near me called Pilot Mountain. Not sure if they close the roads going up at night or not. The road up the side is tough enough as it is durring the day light hours. So Cal Mark wrote:I'm hoping to get some pics of the car with the moon in the background

Don't get your hopes up too high, it was nothing spectacular down here !! Very bright full moon, but didn't notice it being any bigger than usual.

we've got a rainy day, so I'm not sure the cloud cover will allow any view of the moon at all

It was a bit disappointing. I was at the racetrack and had a perfect view of it coming over the horizon. I saw one a few years ago that was simply amazing. It didn't even cause any ruckus at the track and everyone knows what a full moon will do to racers.

Part of our Mini Miglia rally was up Pilot Mountain last year. It went from Winston to Pilot Mountain then over to Hanging Rock. Hope you'll join us this year now that you have your car running.

You have to see the moon as it's just starting on the horizon to realize how much bigger it was. It sure was bright though. I love watching the shows about the stars and planets. I really never realized how small we were until I saw the comparison of the largest star found. A billion of our suns would fit into it. It's name is VY Canis Majoris. A million of earths fit into our sun.
