I shipped a complete 1438 from Los angeles to Texas. Set it on a pallett and dropped iot off at a trucking site. But I cant remember cost or weight. That is the cheapest way to go. i used AB trucking.

I agree that the trans is between 40-45 pounds. I had to carry one across a wrecking yard a few weeks back. I walked it about a half mile with two breaks...

I just shipped an entire Fiat 850 bottom end USPS from Oregon to SoCal, and it cost $52.00.

Actual weight, measured today:
engine, including flywheel and clutch - 300 lbs.
transmission, including bellhousing: 70 lbs.

Sorry I was way off on my engine estimate. It does feel quite light on the cherry picker :D
