Really well written review of the new 500

Post by ga.spyder »

This a review of the new 500 from internet magazine'Winding Road'.Very well written by some enthusiasts who thrashed the car for a couple days,Very honest, and they draw favorable comparisons to the Mini, and new Beetle that this car is built to compete with.

I am not the greatest with computers soo I couldn't get to the article once in the web site. I could open the photo of the car but that was as far as I could get. Then a screen to purchase an iPad app kept coming up.
Can you walk me through the site to the article???
Do I have to purchase an iPad??
Just laughing at myself

I couldn't get to it either, but could get to a table of contents of the magazine issue. I guess I need to subscribe on line in order to access the articles. Craig, could you copy and paste portions of it for us to read?

That site is horrible to navigate, but you can get the article. Click on Craig's link, then click on the words "2012 Fiat 500" upper right. When you get the picture of the red 500, click on the blue right arrow at the top right, just to the right of the "Next Article" and "Contents" buttons. Keep using that blue arrow to advance each page. When you get the iPad ad (will happen several times) just click the blue arrow to get past it and move on to the next page of the article.

I hope this style of web magazine does not catch on, what a PITA.

Thanks I tried that the first time and gave up, probably just before the article was to appear. I hope before I die a learn some patience. Now having read the article it was worth the effort. I have a 500 PE on order and a little nervous I might not like it when it gets here. Reading the article makes me think it will be a fun car to drive.

Sorry....it is a little hard to navigate  This was the first article I have seen that seems to give a honest assesment from more of an enthusiasts of view, rather than a commuters. The fact that they compare it to the Mini,I found interesting. To me,that is the niche and market share the 500 is aimed at.You can get to the article by using jimincal's instructions.Page forward past the ads.Winding Road is a weekly online mag.,that has ties to Ebay Motors. It has always been hard to navigate, but I find the articles and road tests to be excellent.
