72 getting closer to comming home

Post by narfire »

Sent the car to the body shop in Oct 09

Started to dig around and found a bit of rust, ended up doing a lobotomy of sorts

Sliced a front end on from a 79 parts car I have
Image
Spiced fenders on with the lower light parts supplied from a couple of members here

Getting a shape now

In primer now

Paint finally, have to do a wet sand. I don't know much if anything at all ,about painting, but Fred said this new PPG paint is water based or something and is not as good or does not lay down like the older stuff or the Dupont paint he uses now.
He put numerous coats on to cover and will wet sand the car.

I should have the car at the shop perhaps this weekend and then the fun stuff starts.. putting it all back together. I've spent the past few days trying to find it all.
