#5) not really something I need answered (unless you are so inclined) I've got all carb connections figured out, most are easy to figure out. Just listing them here for others that might have to go through this...I'll actually post pictures with labels sometime here...

Line Connections:
Coolant (2)
Carbon Trap
EGR signal
Crankcase Vent
Fuel Feed
Fuel Return
Float Bowl Vapor Vent
High Speed Idle Signal

Adjustment Screws, etc:
High Speed Idle Screw
Fuel Strainer
Idle Cutoff Solenoid
Idle Mixture Screw
Idle Speed Screw

Gotta figure out where things connected to, so that's my next job.

o k alvon, heres what i would have done. ive seen ur car and its top notch. once the sleeve was threaded into the dip stick hole, i would have cut it off flush with the block, so it looked factory. and u wouldnt have to mess with the marks on the stick

all of those vacuum switches are emisson control related. Virtually everyone who does that conversion gets rid of the emission controls. Hopefully you are going to clean the intake side of that cyl head before you install the new manifold!

Good suggestion Rey! Don't know why I didn't think of it. I didn't cut it off before assembly because I figured that I needed to have the hex on there to torque it snug into place. Cutting it off afterwards would be a good trick -- getting rid of any sharp edges is important, so you don't cut the dipstick seal. I just may do that. Thanks!

Danno, sorry to keep hijacking your thread here! I'm glad my early spider doesn't have all that extra smog control set-up. It sure looks like a hassle! I got your e-mail about the dipstick bracket. Give me a call -- I want to tell you a few things that I ran into regarding the subject. I actually have 2 different brackets to choose from (found them last night). 805-338-1767.

No Problem Alvon. Hey, I was looking at your bracket and it's cool and all, but i don't think I can even get my dipstick "holder" to work with a bracket like that unless I do some major modifications to it because of all the bracketry welded onto the holder. I think i'm gonna try something first with some sheet metal I have lying around.

Basically, I need to clog the EGR hole on the head and I also need a bracket for the dipstick. Why not kill two birds with one stone and make something that bolts to the head and sticks out for the dipstick holder to bolt to as well?

Wrong Air cleaner for a ADF Carb

Save your money that air cleaner will not work with the 32 ADF. The early spider carbs like the 34 DMSA and 28/36 DHSA have the same top as a DGV.
