Koni "yellow's" Good price!
Spent some time researching this forum to decide on what shocks to order. Found this deal, from a Seattle based company, and wanted to share with you all.
I have only had my car up here in NYC for two days, and that was all the pot-hole abus I felt she needed! Am hoping these yellows' (on factory softest setting) are going to be the cure before she disintegreates out on the road!

That is a great price, I ordered them through koni from the swiss and i had to wait 6 months to get them, but worth the wait, i paid $350 all said and done.

Has anyone ordered from Koni shocks Import Replacement Parts?
I have never heard of the company and after checking PriceGrabber's merchant ratings they don't show up.

Based on the price I thought that this was to good a deal to pass up.
I called the company to make sure we were all talking the same parts and pieces. I got a customer service rep that spoke American English as a first language. He said the company had these on sale for the next month. They did not have them in stock, as these were a special order from Koni. He said that would take about 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. I placed an order with him for all four shocks and received an email confirmation while we spoke. $355.20 with free shipping.
Stay tuned.

Re: Koni "yellow's" Good price!
I saw them at this site for that same price back in March/April, and that was when someone on this forum posted them earlier than that, so I don't think their price is a "this month only" special. Still, do keep us posted, as I am interested to see what happens/how soon they arrive.

aren't the yellows a little stiffer? I didn't know they made Koni reds for our cars.

I had yellow Konis on my Opel and they are much stiffer and can be adjusted fife times. The red ones are only a little bit stiffer than the originals and can be adjusted three times.

Re: Koni "yellow's" Good price!
Red is KONI's standard shock. They were about as close to the OEM FIAT shock (which was an oil filled shock like the KONI) as you could get. They are no longer in production.spiderrey wrote:O K, splain to me the difference between the Koni reds and yellows please............................
Yellow is the KONI sport-adjustable shock. They can be adjusted from somewhat firm to jarringly, terribly firm. Folks say that on the softest setting they are just a tad firmer than KONI reds.
Compared to a KYB gas shock, which is fairly common on FIATs, KONIs are a significant improvement. KYB is really a downgrade from the OEM FIAT "WAYASSAUTO" brand shock; of course, so these aren't available your options are limited. KONIs are expensive but so are most quality shocks; you do get what you pay for.

bakercs, did Import Replacement Parts charge your credit card for the Koni shocks prior to shipping?
Re: Koni "yellow's" Good price!
I'm interested to know as well because I use Koni Yellows on my track/autoX car but for this price it may be worth getting into a full set on the 124...
