restoring the gauges

Post by fiat2000 »

Hello, has anyone ever restored their gauges? Mine work fine but need a good cleaning and maybe soe modern day sealing as they fog up on the cool morings and nights. Any ideas on how to clean or keep the foging to a minimum, thanks angelo.

I PM'ed Nick a few weeks ago regarding restoring my clock. He hasn't responded.

In fact, his statistics show that he hasn't visited the site since Dec 14th--the day we found out that his wife and son were involved in an accident. One of his messages on that day included this:

"I must ask anyone who sent me clocks or instruments to be aware my family's needs come first above anything else... "

Nick was (is) a great asset to our Spider community. I hope everything is okay with him and his family. Anyone here from Savannah and know Nick personally?

I had an e-mail a while back as I have a couple of clocks with him. I believe things are a bit hectic for him at the moment. I said no rush, family first. I have'nt heard anything since.

To all,

Thank you all for the caring words. My wife and son are finally doing much better. My son is back to college although he is still sore, my wife is still in therapy and is doing physical therapy to help in her daily activities but is doing very well. :D

I have started working again on the instruments and have done so based on the priority the packages came in... mind you I have other gauges and instruments from other Itlaian cars besides Fiats and Alfas... along with my regular work and travels I'm trying to fit it in. :?

If I miss anyones email sent to me I apologize and it's lurking somewhere in the thousands of emails I am still sorting so I'll look for them.

I still have not installed any of the LED's on the car due to the engine breakdown (which I need to work on soon) so the Spider sits in the garage for now. :(

Cheers,

Nick

Sorry to hear about your family, i;m glad they are doing much better now, i'll try and message you a little later on, perhaps when your family life is back to normal and youve caught up on your work, thanks angelo.

Hey Nick,

I'm new to the site and recently sent you an email wondering if you were still making clocks look amazing... Don't worry about it! My heart sank when I heard there had been an accident but I'm glad you made it back on here to spread the good news!

I wish you and your family the best of luck!

Thanks, John
