car covers for spiders

I am taking the Spider into be stripped to bare metal, and painted. I purchased a car cover for when it returns to the garage. Not sure if I got quality or not. Purchased from one of the vendors, about $190 cost. Has anyone purchased recently and been pleased with the product? I was expecting more of a natural fabric. Thanks

last cover i bought was $30+ from costco. 4-ply heavy duty. last big storm did not remove it from the car. Wish i would have bought 3 more.

Mik, are you talking about an indoor or outdoor cover?

Sorry, talking about an indoor cover. After body and painting done, car will not see the outside elements other than the sun. My intention is to keep it garaged, always. Thanks

I have had several car covers from California Car Cover Co., the quality is first class and the fit is excellent.
They offer several different types of material, depending on what you want it to do.

I bought a "Noah" cover years ago from IAP and I have no issues with it.

I also bought the Noah cover. Seems like a layered paper product. I don't know anything about the new fabrics. I was expecting more of a soft cotton fabric. I suppose that would have more potential to capture moisture in warm environments. Maybe my purchase was the right one. Thanks

I've never had it out in the rain, but use it for indoor storage over winter and also in the summer(hot here) when outside as it is parked under the overhead powerlines to the house where birds sit and sh..
When I take the car to work I cover it as well to keep the sawdust from the mill from settling on the car paint, easier to shake the cover out.
Would like to know though if the cover is washable. Anyone have experience in that department?

I'm on my 2nd "Evolution" cover, both purchased from IAP.

This is a cover designed for use outdoors. It passes water vapor but not water droplets. It is relatively bulky which adds to its protection from falling branches, hail, etc. but of course that makes it harder to pack and carry.

My first Evo cover lasted about 4 years and then started leaving a dusty coating on the car - the result, I expect, of a breakdown in the fabric itself. IAP says they have heard that before.

The fit of each has been perfect. Easy to put on and take off once one has had a little practice.

I leave it on the car when it is parked outside (as it is all summer) and also when it is in 'the barn' for the Winter.

The fact that I chose it a 2nd time suggests that I am pleased with it. I am.

I had looked at one of these, but I don't know first-hand how they would be. The nice thing is they offer a range, from $27 for an indoor only, dust cover, up to $162 for top of the(ir) line outdoor cover.

Anyone else try one of these?
