Is the wiper cover (covers wiper motor & cowlings) removable without removing the lower windshield trim?

I believe 5-6 philips screws along the forward part of the cowling and then lift it up a bit and pull forward. Once it is clear of the windshield it will lift up more yet and one can get at the wiper motor electrical conections.(and wiper fluid hose) Disconect and then the whole thing can be removed from the car. Takes about 4-5 minutes.

And yes, it can be removed without removing the lower windshield trim.

If you're doing this by yourself, liberally mask the fender edges so you don't scratch the car when removing or reinstalling. Also, the wiring harness for the wiper motor is quite short; you won't have a lot of room to both hold the valence and unplug the wiring.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't think anything needed to be removed except the screws. Just sent my car to the shop to be painted and the guy asked the question just to be sure.
